Image: IMAGE – International Meeting for Applied Geoscience in Energy IMAGE is the world's largest annual gathering of geoscientists, energy professionals, and industry leaders For the third year in a row, geologic hydrogen was featured prominently at the #IMAGE26. Dr. Mengli Zhang and I had the honor and privilege of convening two more special sessions dedicated to this rapidly emerging field. The sessions featured invited speakers Ishan K. Sharma, Chad Levesque, Joe Honings, PhD, Mengli Zhang, Biruk Abera cherkose, Colin McCulley, and Robert Czarnota. Their presentations highlighted the latest advances across academia, state geological surveys, philanthropic foundations, mining companies, and geologic hydrogen startups. We also had a lively panel discussion between the two sessions (see image for some snapshots of the panelists and moderator)! We would like to thank all the co-authors who contributed to the special sessions: Ranjith(Ran) Narayanasamy, Steve Halabura, Ryan J. Clark, P.G., John Malone, Pierre Levin, Florian Osselin, Na Yuan, Hamid Rahnema, Guangping Xu, and Dr Franek Hasiuk. This is the third year that Dr. Mengli Zhang and I have organized these special sessions. We thank Adam R. Goss, Bunmi E., Ph.D , and Jenny Cole for their continued support of our efforts to connect the emerging geologic hydrogen community!
