Ledford is an assistant professor at Georgia State University in the Department of Geosciences who focuses on understanding how water moves through urbanized environments and the subsequent impacts on downstream ecosystems. She received a B.A. from Vassar College, then completed her PhD at Syracuse University and a post-doc at Temple University. Her recent work has focused on understanding the role urban beaver play in hydrologic and nutrient retention across southeastern cities and working to assess the sources and distribution of E. coli contamination in southeastern Atlanta, funded by the National Science Foundation and the USGS. She also actively contributes to efforts to increase equity and accessibility to hydrology and the geosciences. Since 2021 she has been on the Board of Directors for the Consortium of Universities for the Advancement of Hydrologic Sciences, Inc (CUAHSI). Host: Rob Hawman
